Some 9/11 theories make careful use of eyewitness testimony. They might choose to ignore or minimise reports of people who said they saw a passenger jet crash into the Pentagon, for instance, and pick a less common account that they can claim disproves the "official story". This is dangerous, though, because eyewitness accounts can be very unreliable, with people disagreeing completely on the most basic details.
